Fuel Consumption in Indonesia Predicted to Reach 41 Million Kiloliters - KOMPAS.com: "JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The government has projected subsidized fuel oil consumption to reach 41 million kiloliters this year, slightly higher than the target of 40.49 million kiloliters set under the revised 2011 state budget.
"The difference will not be large. (Subsidized fuel consumption) is likely to reach 41 million kiloliters or slightly more until the end of this year," Director General of Oil and Gas at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Evita Legowo said here on Wednesday.
The higher-than-predicted consumption is among others because of difficulties to keep down the abuse of subsidized fuel oil to industries. he also said the Indonesian crude price (ICP) was expected to exceed US$110 per barrel until the end of this year, well above the target of US$95 per barrel set under the revised 2011 state budget.
